One of the main research paths CInSt has been exploring for decades is studying pecularities of academic profession. In order to be able to look at the development of Russian higher education system from a different perspective, the center has long actively participated in comparative cross-country projects. This is why CInSt ventured into Academic Profession in Knowledge-based Society (APIKS).
We can hardly believe it, but the 2019 session of RSSIA has already come to an end! We received more than 100 applications, but only 24 of the strongest research proposals were accepted. Participants came from a wide range of countries: China, Belgium, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Philippines, and Russia.
For the last month, Victor Rudakov, Research fellow of Centre for Institutional Studies and Laboratory for Labour Market Studies, worked as a visiting researcher in the Center for Research in Higher Education Policies, Porto, Portugal.
Regionalism in Higher Education
According to recent QS World University Ranking, HSE has ranked among the top 150 universities in the QS subject ranking in the subject of Education. Risen by almost 150 positions compared to last year, HSE has become a leader in this subject in Russia.
Education is an interdisciplinary area, and this achievement is the result of work of a number of HSE research centers and faculties, including the Institute of Education and the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge. In this regard, we want to recall important projects for our Center for Institutional Studies (CInSt).
