HSE is among the world leaders in the subject of Education in QS subject ranking
According to recent QS World University Ranking, HSE has ranked among the top 150 universities in the QS subject ranking in the subject of Education. Risen by almost 150 positions compared to last year, HSE has become a leader in this subject in Russia.
Education is an interdisciplinary area, and this achievement is the result of work of a number of HSE research centers and faculties, including the Institute of Education and the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.In this regard, we want to recall important projects for our Center for Institutional Studies (CInSt).
QS subject rankings reflect the achievements of Russian universities in promoting on global educational and research market. The methodology for calculating the subject rating is based on assessment of academic reputation, employer reputation and publications.
The Center for Institutional Studies is integrated into international higher education research networks. We cooperate with foreign experts in the framework of joint projects covering the problems of development of higher education in different countries. The Center for International Higher Education, Boston College (CIHE) and CInSt researchers worked together for several years on international comparative projects. Now Cinst and CIHE conduct a project dedicated to the development of postgraduate studies in different countries - “Trends and Issues in Medical Education Worldwide: An International Research Inquiry” cinst.hse.ru/en/docedu.
CInSt takes part in the international research project “Changing Academic Profession” cinst.hse.ru/en/academic_profession, dedicated to the study of academic professions in different countries of the world. The study gives an idea of the higher education systems in different countries: their functions, productivity and academic settings, etc. the results of the multinational study are presented in numerous publications, in particular, in a series of monographs: link.springer.com/search….
Since 2017 CInSt takes part in the continuation of the project cinst.hse.ru/en/apiks ahhh! These days In Hiroshima University, Japan, an international seminar dedicated to the discussion of the first results of the project, in which CInSt researchers participate, is being held.
