Higher Education and Labour Market

Our research group aims to analyze the link between higher education and labour market. We analyze educational and career strategies of university students and graduates, school-to-work transition, the impact of educational characteristics and achievements on labour market outcomes of university graduates as well as returns to types, level and quality of education. The particular attention is paid to studies of gender differences in educational and career strategies of students and graduates and gender inequality in labour maket outcomes. We carry out experimental research on signaling role of higher education, academic achievement and gender discrimination. Research group participate in a project Monitoring of education markets and organizationsWe analyze the link between higher education and labour market in collaboration with:

·         Center for Research in Higher Education Policies, University of Porto;

·         Laboratory for labour market studies.
