In October 2018 there was held a meeting on the project "Trends and Issues in Doctoral Education Worldwide: An International Research Inquiry" in Moscow in a form of a workshop where all project participants presented their studies and discussed the possibilities of expanding the scope of them and improving them. There was also held a fruitful discussion on the role and ultimate purpose of doctoral education with an attempt to understand the current realities worldwide in key countries.
