The Center for Institutional Studies of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (CInSt HSE) with the support of the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) and Russia Platform UGent organizes the 9th Annual CInSt Banking Workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities. The workshop will be held on October 11th, 2019, in HSE, Moscow.

The annual workshop is aimed at bringing together scholars involved in various aspects of banking in emerging markets, including but not limited to those of the Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS countries, Latin America and China. The organizing committee welcomes submissions of both empirical and theoretical research papers on the current issues concerning banking in these markets. Only full papers will be considered.

Submission deadline is June 1st, 2019. Authors will be notified about the selection process results in July 2018.

The workshop is held in English. There is no registration fee. However, participants cover their accomodation, travel, and visa costs.
