The fall issue of the bulletin Higher Education in Russia and Beyond

We are glad to present you the fall issue of the bulletin Higher Education in Russia and Beyond (HERB) published by National Research University Higher School of Economics.

HERB is aimed at revealing current educational trends in Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe to the international higher education research community. We believe that an analytical discussion of changes in this region in the context of higher education systems is important in a broad international perspective.

 

In each HERB issue we present both data analysis and independent expert opinions dedicated to a specific topic.

 

The fall issue is focused on academic profession in post-soviet transition. Authors from Russia, Macedonia, Poland and Croatia discuss the impact of financial shocks, labour market shifts, and social changes on both higher education institutions and faculty. Teaching and research orientations of academics, institutional transformation and internationalization challenges are discussed as well.
